GPSI provided engineering design of the MEP systems for the water feature at 700 Market Street in St. Louis, MO. We worked closely with the Design Team to understand design intent, logistics, and constructability in order to provide the best of design documents for the contractor building the project. GPSI also provided Construction Administration to ensure the water feature contractor had no issues implementing our design thru the course of construction. The water feature is a triangular shaped feature with water flowing from the point of the triangle to the bottom side of the triangle.  The feature is approximately 50-feet wide at the base and 29-feet on each of the other two sides of the feature structure.  The pump equipment is located within an equipment room in the basement of the building.  The design intent of the project is to have water flow down the triangular feature on a ruff surface to create a textured water effect.  A second benefit of the feature is the audible quality created by the water flow that helps to mask some of the cities sounds. The Fountain was commissioned in 2015.
